2024 NFL Pro Day with Isaac Erbes
Few moments are as nerve-wracking and exciting as Pro Day—an event where athletes showcase their skills in hopes of catching the eye of scouts and securing their future in the game. For former University of South Dakota Offensive Lineman, Isaac Erbes, it was a culmination of months of hard work and dedication, a day that would shape his journey in athletics.
Looking back on the experience, Erbes recalls, “The best part of Pro Day was reuniting with my team and giving it our all in front of all the scouts. It was a unique experience, something you only get to do once.” But despite the excitement, Erbes couldn’t shake off the nerves. “I was really nervous. It was a big day. We’ve been training for months. I just kept telling myself to stay calm and trust my training.”
Erbes also emphasizes the importance of having the right support system. “Choosing the right agent is important. You want someone who’s not only good at their job but also someone you can trust and connect with.”
In the face of challenges, Erbes finds comfort in the support of his agents, who have helped him overcome obstacles and improve his game. “They’ve opened up new opportunities for me and helped me with things like nutrition. They’ve given me tools to succeed that I didn’t have before.” He also had made sure to take advantage of continuing to train post pro day.
As Erbes continues his journey in sports, his story serves as a reminder of the importance of perseverance and surrounding yourself with the right people to achieve your goals, no matter how daunting the journey may seem.
